The joke used to be that if you couldn’t find a picture of the day (for whatever reason), you could always take a picture of your socks. In the 365 crowd I run with, sock shots were always met with derision and mockery and were therefore to be avoided and only used as the absolute last resort. You know, the kind of thing you shoot at 23:59 just to stay in the game.
Of course, today was one of those days, where I was on 8 hours straight of back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back Teams calls (I’m not kidding) and was met with dull gray misery outdoors when I finally came up for air.
With the prospect of socks in mind, I decided to turn my photographic attention to our basil plants, which are coming along nicely. Something tells me that they may be making regular appearances here depending on circumstances as the year progresses.
At least they’re not socks.
