Since today was looking to be the only nice day on this long, three-day Labour Day weekend (“they” are promising rain Sunday and Monday), we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous late summer weather and head up to Chelsea (about 15km north of Ottawa) for a lovely al fresco lunch followed by a walk in the nearby woods of Gatineau Park.
When I saw those leaves lit up like that with the path in background, I knew what I had to do; I held back and waited for Olivia and Danielle to make their way through that gap in the trees. Photo of the day done & dusted.
