I managed to get out for a short photowalk at lunchtime today. That gave me just enough time to make my way to the woods at Taylor Creek and go leaf hunting. I didn't have to look far... actually, I just needed to look down. The dappled light did all the work for me - all I needed to do was press the shutter. No post-processing needed on this one; Mother Nature set it all up perfectly.
After a rather large lunchtime feast (the traditional Thanksgiving turkey and all the trimmings plus apple pie for dessert) it was critical to get out an go for a walk later in the afternoon to aid with digestion.
The Rideau Falls (French: Chutes de la rivière Rideau) are two 11-metre waterfalls where the Rideau River empties into the Ottawa River. The falls are divided by Green Island, with Ottawa's Old City Hall just to the south.
